Special Session Added to the International Carbohydrate Symposium in New Orleans
A panel discussion on “Research Directions in Glycoscience” will be held in conjunction with the 28th International Carbohydrate Symposium in New Orleans. The event will be held just before the start of the Symposium, on Sunday morning, July 17, at 10:00 AM. Several countries and groups have developed “roadmaps” for the glycosciences, which impact many areas of scientific research. Panelists include Pamela Marino (USA National Institutes of Health), Serge Perez (European Science Foundation) and Koichi Kato (National Institutes of Natural Sciences, Japan). They will describe their programs, discuss gaps in research and synergies, and will take questions from the audience. Admission is open for this special event.
